@mihirmodi/ui is MIT licensed. In practice that means: take it, ship it, sell what you build with it, and you owe nobody anything.

What you can do

  • Use it in commercial and closed-source products, with no fee and no licence to buy.
  • Copy the source out of the docs instead of installing the package. Both are the same code.
  • Modify it however you like, and keep those changes private.
  • Redistribute it, on its own or inside something larger.

What you have to do

Keep the copyright notice and the licence text with any substantial copy of the source. That is the whole obligation. Attribution in your interface is not required and is not expected — if you want to link back, that is a kindness, not a term.

What you are not getting

A warranty. The software is provided as is: no guarantee that it is fit for your purpose, no guarantee it is free of defects, and no liability on my part for anything that goes wrong downstream of it. That is the trade the MIT licence makes, and it is the trade being made here — this is a personal project shared in the open, not a supported product.

There is no support commitment, no service level, and no promise that the API will not change between versions. Pin a version if that matters to you.
